This couple…..I don’t know where to start, we had so much fun on their big day I am still laughing. I felt like a friend who had known them forever!
On meeting Kirsty and Michael, it was obvious they were going to be a lot of fun, the micky taking between them was so entertaining. Kirsty told me that they have known each other since primary school, she was the cool sixth former that used to walk into Michael’s form room to talk to the teacher while he’d be wishing he could marry her one day…. His dream came true!
The day started with me taking photos at the groom’s parent’s house, just a few doors away from the bride’s parents house – nice and easy for me! When I arrived to meet Michael, there seemed to be some confusion over whose suit trousers were whose, but once this was sorted and the button holes fixed in place the boys were ready and itching to get in the Best Man’s shiny classic Ford Escort and head to the pub for a top up.
After sending the boys on their way I popped down the road to see the bride, the bubbles were flowing and Kirsty was so excited to be getting ready in her childhood bedroom. We all piled into her room to get the dress on and tie her in, not forgetting a few selfies along the way. Kirsty had lots of borrowed items for her outfit making it extra special. She had borrowed her cousin’s shoes, her friend Kerri’s veil, and her Mum’s earrings. Her ‘old’ was her grandmothers necklace and ‘the blue’ was a handmade garter. The dress was new but already holds memories of her Mum and Dad who both went wedding dress shopping with her.
The house was full of friends and family, the cars were all ready to go with the wedding party chauffer’s waiting to whisk the girls off to the church. The excitement was infectious.
The beautiful church at Chenies in The Chalfonts was a stunning location and is the same church that Michael’s parents got married in. The party seemed to start when the bride and groom went to sign the register and the music was turned up. All the guests were singing along to ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ it was such a fantastic atmosphere.
After the church, the wedding party and guests headed to the Harewood Downs Golf Club for the Wedding Breakfast and party., which was decorated with homemade bunting. Crates and boxes were used to make the table plan and flower holders. Glass jars collected by friends and family created lovely centrepieces. It was stunning and everything was unique. The speeches filled the room with a constant stream of laughter and then the party really got started!
The sign of a successful wedding is a full dancefloor!
Congratulations again Kirsty and Michael!!!

Kind Words:
“Joss did a great job on the day – it was good meeting up with her a couple of times before to discuss a few of the key shots, so we all knew what was coming. Joss was professional, but she felt like part of the wedding day and fitted in with our friends and family really well – a great balance. We are really pleased with the final photos, she’s captured some brilliant memories!” Kirsty and Michael
